The Centre for Sustainability and Excellence and Terrapass are proud to host “Measuring & Addressing Environmental Impacts throughout the Entire Life Cycle and Supply Chain.” The Roundtable is an effort to engage professionals involved in bringing sustainability and corporate responsibility to their businesses, and especially engage those who may be questioning their commitments to sustainability due to these tough economic times.
When corporate responsibility gets integrated into an organization’s core, a certain amount of light must be shined on the suppliers that make up a business’s value chain. Aiming for sustainability in the supply chain can reap myriad benefits, including reduced risks, enhanced efficiency, and greater shareholder return. Achieving these sorts of benefits requires a dynamic and robust supply chain be in place first. The roundtable will address topics like buyer internal alignment, the empowerment of workers, and supplier ownership of sustainability principles in discussing ways to realize the corporate mission.
The open roundtable event will be hosted with no fee, on June 17th at 5:30 pm. All interested professionals must RSVP at [email protected].
This event is being hosted on day one of CSE’s Accredited Sustainability (CSR) Practitioner Workshop in San Francisco, CA. You can find out more about the CSR Practitioner Workshop at CSE’s website or by emailing [email protected].
